He's a singer cut
from the same classic soul cloth that cloaked Wilson Pickett, Otis
Redding and Solomon Burke. Earl has a down home sound coupled with a
sophisticated delivery that caused legendary producer Jerry Wexler
to note, "He's got the goods".

Smoked Mullet Band |
The Smoked Mullet
Band formed in 1977 in Englewood, Florida. There was little
opportunity for musicians to really get
started until one day an unknown bass
player named Ron
Walshaw met a guitar-playing fisherman
named Michael Van Norman. Finding
music the common bond between them, they became immediate
friends and teamed up with drummer Terry Hargis. In 1986 they were scheduled
to play Calico Jack's True Value Country Showdown when,
tragically,
Michael Van Norman was killed in a boating accident.
Shortly after Michael's
death the members brought Bob Taylor into the band, a
talented guitar player and vocalist from the same area. the, "Mullet
Band", as it has become to be known, has emerged as a powerful
musical force throughout the state of Florida. |
