Originally from Texas Richard "Tex" Cheroff
began playing music in Jr. High School in Woerster, MA, the home of
Aerosmith.
Having fallen in love with music itself he has
played continually since that time.
Tex has more than 30 years experience as
a singer, songwriter and guitarist and is an accomplished musician.
His smooth vocals are reminiscent of those performed by
The Little
River Band,
Poco and
Eric Clapton.
His guitar is pure rhythmic pleasure and his
leads are totally original with influences from
ZZ Top,
Led Zeppelin
and
Clapton
(Hall Of Fame) and licks that are seldom heard
outside of major concert venues.
Tex has opened for and played with major headliners like
the
Late Great Carl Perkins and
38
Special. Tex has played
throughout the country with some of Rhythm & Blues and Rock's best
artists. He has a repertoire of original music ranging from Texas
R&B to Pop and Acoustic Folk. He is capable of covering most of the
last three decades of popular music. Many of the selections
from the Kingpins latest CD "Anderson Road" were composed and
arranged by Tex.
Have a listen and you too will be
wanting to hear this phenomenon live!
